Wayne County Young Farmers

Mission Statement

The mission of the Wayne County Young Farmer Agribusiness Program is to provide educational instruction and opportunities to individuals engaged in the agricultural industry which will increase their proficiency in agricultural production, agribusiness and leadership.

Wayne County Young Farmers was organized in 1977 to provide Agricultural Education for adults in Wayne County Georgia. The program is an educational unit of the Georgia Young Farmers program and the National Young Farmers Organization. The purpose of the county unit is to provide Agricultural Education to all interested adults. Unlike school based Ag Ed classes, our classes are taught at night and at selected times during the day. Young Farmer classes cover many topics in the field of agriculture and related subjects.

Young Farmer educational programs are coordinated by Certified Agricultural Education teachers who specialize in Adult Ag Education. Along with the instructional  program, Wayne County Young Farmers provides it’s membership with many leadership opportunities and events.
